Currently working on modeling spatial interactions between pastoralism and agriculture in Central Asia.
Also very interested in processes of coevolution involving humans, including those resulting in domestication.
Using advanced computer methods to visualise archaeology and cultural history both for research simulation and audience reception. I’m especially interested in virtual worlds, transparency issues surrounding visualisations and sustainable approaches to physical and digital archaeology.
My personal research area is in 1st Century Campania region of Italy focusing on the Roman colony of Pompeii, insula VIII.7 and the history of the rediscovery and archaeological excavations of the area since their destruction in 79AD.
